With two postgraduate degrees and more than 10 years’ experience in the refugee and humanitarian sector, Elizabeth Young is a specialist in the areas of refugee resettlement, human rights and asylum issues. Having worked in Thailand, Myanmar/Burma, Australia and New Zealand, Elizabeth has a detailed understanding of the issues facing people seeking asylum, refugees, internally displaced people and other migrants.
An experienced senior manager, Elizabeth has an interest in organisational policy development, working to progress policies that are actually used, and make peoples jobs easier. Elizabeth believes in innovative and modern workplaces that adapt with the times, supporting all staff to grow and prepare themselves for both their own future, and that of the communities they serve.
Elizabeth is dedicated to the needs and rights of refugees. This area is a passion she has fostered from a young age and will continue for years to come.
