This Mapping exercise has been a 3-stage process
Stage 1 - Last year (2020) we created the Map and loaded the raw data
Stage 2 – This year we have loaded in the information from the members detail forms you completed,
including all branches listed and what services they provide.
Stage 3 – This is where we are at now, we now require our members to check what has been uploaded
under their Services and let us know what, if anything needs to be changed, added, reworded …...
Blurbs
Blurbs have been taken directly from your websites,
so we are using your own wording to describe your services.
Key Words
Key Words have been added below some of the blurbs, to assist with searching,
and allow people to find your services more easily.
One word Search’s will get the best results
One-word searches i.e. Food, Budget, Welfare, Women, disability …..
once you start added extra words the system is looking for a more exact match.
Changing my details on the Map
We have created a link on our members page
where members can let us know about any changes to their services etc, so we can keep them updated.
This link will be available permanently, so you can always keep us ups to date.
And obviously if you change information on your websites that will automatically change,
as long as the link to the website hasn’t altered.
Op Shops – Why load op shops?
For organisations like the Salvation Army and St Vincent de Paul,
you can go to the op shops to ask for help and they will direct you to a service or contact that can help you.
Privacy
Some of our organisations are run by people from their home address
or they run their programmes in Clients homes or other venues.
Or there are security reasons an organisation does not wish to have their physical address made public.
In these cases, we have noted.
(The address shown is not indicative of the physical address where service is provided - please make contact for further details)
Missing Members
We have a few members who have still not completed their online details form,
which was sent out in March with the subscriptions.
So, if your group is not on the Map, or there is very little detail about your services on the map,
this may be why.
Contact us and we can send out the link again, or you can find it on the members page of our website.
